Easy 10 Minutes Date Cookies



This is the best Easy 10 Minutes Date Cookies to make, it is so quick and perfect as a snack or with afternoon tea time. I’ve made those lovely cookies for my kids, and they adore it and keep asking me to make some. It has the taste of the delicious fig cookies and of course you can make this recipe with the fig filling instead of date paste. When i was a little girl one of my favorite cookies was the date cookies, and when i grew up i tried many ways to make the old fashioned date cookies, and this recipe i rely and i love to share it with you.
 

What ingredients you need to make Easy 10 Minutes Date Cookies? (Full ingredients below)

  • Flour
  • Vegetable oil or butter
  • baking powder
  • Eggs
  • Milk powder (optiona)
  • Suagar
  • Date paste
  • Ground cinnamon

How to make these cookies?

  • Prepare filling add soft butter, pinch of cinnamon and pinch of cardamom(optional) to the date paste, knead together until soft date paste.
  • In a large bowl add eggs, sugar and vanilla, whisk together until sugar dissolve in eggs.
  • Add oil or melted butter, give it a quick whisk
  • Add dry ingredients into the egg mixture, Stir until combined as a dough
  • Fill the dough with date filling, close dough and roll with hands
  • With a fork decorate the top of cookies by making a lines. Cut into square cookies.
  • Bake in preheated oven 220°C / 400F for 7 minutes or until golden color.

Ingredients to substitute in Date Tea cookies :

 
  • Instead of date filling you can make it with fig filling, and it will turned another yummy flavour.
  • If you don’t have milk powder, it is ok it’s optional but don’t substitute with liquid milk otherwise it will turn so mushy and the dough will break.
  • The sugar amount in the dough could be can be reduced from 1/2 cup to 1/4 cup if you prefer your dough less sweetine.

Easy 10 Minutes Date Cookies

Yield: 35 Cookies

Cook Time: 7 minutes
 
Total Time: 17 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract or any type
  • ½ Cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter or oil
  • 2 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp milk powder (optional)

For filling

  • 200 grams date paste
  • 1 Tbsp soft butter
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground cardamom (optional)

Instructions

    1. Prepare filling: add soft butter, pinch of cinnamon and pinch of cardamom(optional) to the date paste, knead together until soft date paste.
    2. In a large bowl add eggs, i added 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk. Add sugar and vanilla, whisk together until sugar dissolve in eggs. Add oil or melted butter, give it a quick whisk.
    3. Add dry ingredients the flour, baking powder and milk powder into the egg mixture.
    4. Stir until combined as a dough, continue knead with hands until you have a smooth & soft cookies dough.
    5. Take a medium ball of dough and spread with hand, take medium ball of date paste and roll as a roller, place in the middle of the dough, close dough and roll with hands( see the video for the steps).
    6. With a fork decorate the top of cookies by making a lines.
      Cut into square cookies.
    7. Place cookies in a prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    8. Bake in preheated oven 220°C for 7 minutes or until golden color.
      Cool down before serve it.
