What is the origin of Eggless Ghee Butter Cookies ?
This recipe is an arabian butter cookies recipe, made in middle east for fest and holidays time, it is so easy with only 4 ingredients and also so quick you just need to shape the dough into small balls and place in the middle pistachio or almond, bake for 10 minutes and enjoy it.
Eggless Ghee Butter Cookies
PREP TIME: 10 mins COOK TIME: 10 mins SERVINGS: 25 cookies
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cups all purpos flour (250g)
- 150 grams soft ghee butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
For decoration: - Pistachio
- Pine
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven at 180°C/ 365F only turn bottom heat oven.
- In a mixer bowl mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla until fluffy and light in color.
- Add flour gradually until you have a smooth and buttery cookie dough.
- Take about a tablespoon of the dough, shape as soft small balls.
- Place cookies in an oven tray, top each cookie ball with pistachio, press a little bit to flatten the cookie.
- Bake on preheated bottom heat oven 180°C for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool completly before moving from oven tray, otherwise it will crumble.
