Eggless Date squares or Date slices

These are the best and easy Eggless Date squares or Date slices Recipe i’ve ever made. It only takes 5 minutes to prepare, also i fill it sometimes with jam; but i prefer the date because it fulls with energy.

How to make date paste?

Many of people asked me this question, it is so easy there are two ways to prepare it,the first remove the seeds from the dates and knead with hands until you have the date dough or paste. The second way, we use it when the date are a little hard to shape, remove the seed and place the date on a water bath until soften, add a little bit of water and butter and mash with fork.

What else can i fill the Eggless Date squares?
You can fill it with fig paste or with any type of jam, i love the strawberry jam flavour with my squares, but you can add any other flavours such as apricot, cherry or any other favourite flavours.

Why to freeze the remain third dough before grate?

When the dough is freeze it will be more able to shape and grate it with the food grater, but if it seems to be weird to do it , crumble simply with hand at the top of the filling date.
