4 Ingredients Coconut Macaroons

Prep time: 5 minutes

Baking time: 15 minutes

yield: 9 macaroons

Ingredients:

2 egg whites

1/3 cup (70 grams) sugar

One and three quarters (120 grams) of shredded coconuts

1/2  teaspoon of vanilla for flavor

Pinch of salt

60 grams chocolate


The way:


– In a large bowl place the egg whites, vanilla and salt.

– Whisk with a hand whisk, add sugar gradually. Whisk until you have a liquid meringue.

– Add grated coconut to the egg whites mixture. Stir with a spatula until all well combined.

– Use an ice cream spoon to form as medium macaroons balls. 

– Place macaroons balls in a prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

– Bake in preheated oven 170°C for 15 minutes.

– Cool before decorating with chocolate.

– Melt chocolate in a microwave for one minute then stir until you have a smooth chocolate.

– Dip macaroons in chocolate, then place it back on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool.

– Make a decorating bag from parchment paper, fill it with the remain chocolate then decorate your macaroons with chocolate lines.

– Chill at least for 20 minutes before serving.
