Golden coconut macaroons dipped in melted chocolate and topped with a drizzle of chocolate, beautifully served on a white plate

The holiday season always feels brighter when the kitchen smells like freshly baked treats. One of my favorite desserts to make during this time is 4 easy Ingredients Coconut Macaroons. They taste rich, chewy, and perfectly sweet, yet they take almost no time to prepare. I love how this recipe combines simplicity and flavor in every golden bite.

To start, I gather my four ingredients: shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. These few ingredients create magic together. The condensed milk adds creaminess and sweetness, while the coconut gives the cookies their irresistible texture. Vanilla brings a comforting aroma that fills the kitchen as the macaroons bake.

I mix everything in one bowl, which makes cleanup easy. The mixture feels sticky and thick, just right for scooping into small mounds. I always use a cookie scoop to keep the sizes even, so each macaroon bakes perfectly. Once I arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, I slide the tray into a preheated oven and watch them slowly turn golden brown around the edges.

After about 15 minutes, the 4 easy Ingredients Coconut Macaroons look crisp on the outside and soft inside. I let them cool for a few minutes before tasting one. The first bite always amazes me—sweet coconut flavor blends beautifully with the hint of vanilla, creating a chewy, satisfying texture.

These coconut macaroons work beautifully for any occasion. I often pack them in small boxes as gifts or place them on dessert platters during Christmas gatherings. My kids love snacking on them with warm cocoa, and I enjoy pairing them with a cup of coffee in the morning. The best part is that they stay fresh for days in an airtight container, so I can make them ahead for the busy holiday week.

Baking these macaroons never feels like work. The short ingredient list, easy steps, and delicious results always bring joy to my kitchen. Every batch reminds me that simple recipes often taste the best. If you crave something quick, sweet, and homemade, these 4-Ingredient Coconut Macaroons will always deliver.

Servings 9 macaroons

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup 70g sugar
  • cups 120g shredded coconut
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 60 g dark chocolate for dipping and decorating

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites, vanilla, and salt until slightly frothy. Gradually add the sugar while whisking continuously until the mixture looks glossy and forms a light, liquid meringue.
  • Gently fold the shredded coconut into the meringue using a spatula. Mix until everything combines evenly and the coconut is fully coated.
  • Use a small ice cream scoop or spoon to form medium-sized balls of the mixture. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the macaroons for 15 minutes, or until they turn light golden brown around the edges.
  • Let the baked macaroons cool completely on a wire rack before adding the chocolate.
  • Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Dip the bottoms of the cooled macaroons into the melted chocolate and place them back on parchment paper. Pour any remaining chocolate into a small parchment piping bag and drizzle thin lines over the tops for a beautiful finish.
  • Refrigerate the macaroons for at least 20 minutes to set the chocolate before serving.
