Cheesy Quick Christmas Dinner Rolls

I made it with a very perfect and quick dough we call it in french (quinze dough) which means the 15 minutes dough and this dough no need to fermentation as other dough, it takes only 15 minutes for fermentation and if you try it you’ll thought it made by bakery because it is very fluffy and moist. I like to decorate my food and my kids adore the shape of christmas tree, of course, they are! as any child fall in love with food art.

Prep Time: 30 mins
Baking time: 25 mins

Ingredients:

5 Cups all purpose flour
2 Tbsp dried yeast
3 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp salt
1  1/3 Cup warm water
3 Tbsp olive oil

For filling:
100g Fita cheese
1 Tbsp sesam seeds
2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese

Egg wash:
1 Egg
1/2 tsp milk

The way:

– In a mixure bowl add only two cups of flour, all the yeast, sugar, salt and water. Mix all together until you have a little bit liquidy batter. Ferment for just 10 minutes at room temperature.
– Add the remain 3 cups of flour and the olive oil, knead the dough until you have a smooth elastic dough.
– Cut the fita cheese into a 1 cm dices.
– Divide dough into 23 equal pieces; shape into balls. Fill each ball with a fita cheese dice, close tightly.
– Shape as a tree in oven tray covered with parchment paper.
– Draft-free place between each ball, cause it will doubled in size.
– Mix the egg with milk, brush the surface balls with egg wash then sprinkle the sesam seeds.
– Bake in preheated oven 200° C for about 25 minuts or until gloden colour
– When out of oven, dust with parmesan cheese and decorate with fresh rosemary .
– Enjoy!
