Falafel burger

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Frying time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
250 g chickpeas
Garlic parsley
1 clove of garlic
1 small onions
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon coriander
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon salt
3 tablespoons water (add as needed )
1 cup flour (for dipping the falafel before frying)
Vegetable oil for frying
Ingredients of tahini sauce (optional):
2 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
pinch of Salt
1 tablespoon minced parsley
For filling:
Sliced tomatoes
Pickled slices
lettuce
Preparation:
– Place the chickpeas in a pot and immerse in water for whole night or at least 8 hours, wash and drain from the water.
– In the food processor, grind the chickpeas with parsley, onion and garlic until you get a paste of falafel.
Add bread crumbs, salt, coriander and cumin. Mix all together, add 3 tbsp of water or as needed .
Take a ball of the falafel and shape it as a burger, then dip it in the flour.
– Fry in a hot vegetable oil until golden color from the two sides.
– Filter from extra oil.
– To make the sauce: mix tahini with lemon juice until thick then add the water keep whisk until you have a nice smooth sauce. Add the salt and parsley.
– In a burger buns add the tahini sauce then the lettuce, tomato, pickle.
– Serve with french fries or salad.
