Black Forest Cake

Today i present you Black forest cake, so tasty cake and the combination of chocolate cake, with dark Morello cherries, and loads of whipped cream, makes a great dessert for any special occasion.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:
Chocolate Cake Ingredients:
8 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant coffee or vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup yogurt
50 g melted butter 

For decoration:
600 ml whipped cream
1 Cup powder sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 Cup chocolate chips
cherries 
 strawberry (optional)
1 cup dark morello cherries sauce


Preparation:
  • Preheat oven at 150 °C before making the cake, prepare 2 cake molds 23cm diameter by painting with butter and dust with flour then place a fit parchment paper.
  • Separate the eggs yolks from the egg whites, add the salt into the egg whites bowl.
  • Place the whisk attachment and whisk the egg whites for about 10 minutes with adding gradually 1 cup of sugar.
  • Meanwhile, to the egg yolks add the coffee and the remain 1 cup of sugar, whisk until the sugar dissolve and the mixture light yellow in color, add the yogurt and melted butter give it a quick mix.
  • Sift the dry ingredients in a bowl, to the egg yolks add the dry ingredients into two phases.
  • At the chocolate egg yolks mixture add the egg whites ( meringue) into 3 phases and stir with spatula until the egg whites disapper in the mixture (don’t over mix ).
  • Pour the cake mixture into the two cake molds.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven 150°C for 40 minutes.
  • Place the cake on a wire rack and remove the parchment paper let the cakes cool before decorate it.
  • In a bowl place a cold whipped cream and add the powder sugar and whisk until coherant.
  • In a bag place a star tip for decoration, fill the bag with cream .
  • Into a serving dish place parchment around the cake, stuff with whipped cream and dark morello cherries then place the next chocolate cake.
  • Cover the top of the cake with whipped cream, then sprinkel chocolate chips around the cake.
  • Decorate the top of the cake with star tip as a roses shape, place the cherries above the roses and a side it a strewberry.
  • place chocolate chips at the middle of the cake.
  • Chill until serving.
