Chicken Shawarma – Chicken Shawarma Salad

Healthy easy homemade chicken shawarma salad recipe, i made it with my air fryer and it came so delicious, moist and also i made my own dressing which were so yummy and had a graet harmony taste with chicken. You can make it for diet, it is full of protin and less of caloris, i usually made it for familly dinner as a side dish but for diet it would be great without the dressing of course because the dressing contain a tahini sauce which full of caloris and you wont add it to your diet food.

Chicken Shawarma Salad

 
Prep time: 15 mins
Grill time: 15 mins
Yield: 2 persons
 

Ingredients:

1 chicken breast (400g)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup butter milk

For season:

1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cardamom
1 tbsp salt
 
For dressing:
3 tbsp tahini sauce
3 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp water
1 clove of garlic
salt to taste
 
1/2 iceberg lettuce
2 medium red onion
2 tbsp sumac
1 tbsp salt
 

The way:

– Cut chicken into a thin slices, season with spices, buttermilk, olive oil and lemon juice. Marinade overnight or at least 2 hours. place the chicken In air fryer , grill it at 180°c for 12-15 minutes.
– Cut onions into slices add salt and let it rest 30 minutes until the water comes out, squeeze the onion in colander to get out the water of it, then season with sumac.
– Cut lettuce into slices.
– For dressing: mix tahini with lemon juice and yogurt until thicken then add water gradually until you have a smooth thickness sauce as mayonnaise consisty, season with salt and mashed clove of garlic.
– In a bowl mix chicken with onion and lattuc then add tahini or as layers in a serving dish.
