What is the difference between muffins and cupcakes?
Muffins are unique in that they can be filled with chocolate chips and fruits such as blueberries, and they are moist and dense, but cupcakes are more sweet and fluffy, and they can also be topped with cream and buttercream.
Can I substitute butter with oil?
Yes, i once tried this recipe with vegetable oil, and it turned out well, but it has a different texture than the original muffins, somewhat inclined to cupcakes. However, the method is deffrent: whisk the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until the sugar dissolves, then add the milk and vegetable oil. Mix all the liquefied ingredients, then add the dry ingredients and follow the exact remaining steps.
Tips for making a delicious easy marble muffins recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (420°F), bake for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 180°C (356°F). This step will double your muffins’ size and make them more fluffy than cupcakes.Bakeing it at 180 °C for 20 minutes without changing the heat; will also give you a good result as my muffins.
- Muffins are lower in sugar, but you can add the amount you like; I added more than 1/2 cup and it tasted great.
- All ingredients should be at room temperature. Milk, eggs and butter, so that the mixture becomes smooth at the end.
