Cuisine Italian
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ tablespoon salt or to taste
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ¾ cup warm water
For topping
- 6 tbsp Pizza sauce
- 100 g mozzarella cheese
- black olive sliced
In a mesuring cup, combine 1 tablespoon of yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and ¾ cup of warm water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of flour and ½ tablespoon of salt. Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and the activated yeast mixture.
Mix all ingredients until they form a soft dough. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rest in a warm place for 60–90 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) while the dough is proofing.
Gently punch down the dough to release any excess air. Divide it in half, then roll out one portion on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch (6 mm) thickness. Using a round cutter, cut out mini pizza bases. Carefully transfer the circles onto a parchment-lined baking tray, spacing them slightly apart.
Add your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings to each mini pizza. Keep toppings light to ensure even baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese melts.
Let the mini pizzas cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm as a snack or party treat.
