For the dough:
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt or as desired
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
Pizza sauce or:
- 6 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon thyme or oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Toppings:
- 100 g Parmesan cheese
- 300 g mozzarella cheese
- Slices of sweet peppers
- Mushroom slices
- Black and green olive slices
- Onion cubes
- Tomatoes cut into cubes
- Optional: additional vegetables or meat as desired
In a bowl, combine the dough ingredients and knead for 10 minutes until you obtain a soft, elastic dough.
Lightly grease another bowl with olive oil, place the dough inside, and coat it with a little olive oil. Cover and let it rest in a warm place for 1–2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
Prepare the sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mixing well.
Spread half of the dough onto a baking tray.
Spread the sauce over the dough, leaving a 2 cm border around the edges.
Sprinkle the cheeses evenly over the sauce, then add olives, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Add any other vegetables or meat if desired.
Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 220°C until golden brown and cooked through.
