Dates Bars

Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup vegetable oil
For filling:
350g dates paste
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon cardamum powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon of crushed anise ( optional)
nuts (optional)

Preparation:
– In a bowl mix the eggs with sugar and vanilla until the sugar dissolves, add the oil and mix until all well combined.
– Add 4 cups of flour and baking powder to the egg mixture and leave half a cup of flour added later, knead the dough until it is firm.
– Prepare the tray by paint it with butter or place parchment paper.
-Take two thirds of the dough and sepread the dough in the tray lined with parchment paper or butter.
– Add the remaining 1/2 cup of flour to the remaining third of the dough and knead the dough until it is smooth and firm.
– Cover the dough with plastic and placed in the freezer for 15 minutes until cool.
– Take the remaining dough and by rough grater, grated the dough over the dates filling and distribute all over until covering the filling of dates.
– Bake the in a hot oven at 180 ° C, for 25-30 minutes or until golden color
