This is the best and Rich Chocolate Cake topping with Chocolate Ganache, perfect for any occasion. I made this cake for my little girl birthday just to enjoy it with family as this time is quarantine time and none of her friends will attend 🙁 

How can a person not to fall in love with chocolate cake?

from adult to children everyboday love it, and mine is rich cake full of flavours and so delicious. I made it as a simple rich chocolate cake also it is easy to make without making layers and filling, just simple ready to eat chocolate cake, and it works as i mentioned for quarantine birthdays 🙂

Best Chocolate Cake

Rich Chocolate Cake 

Prep time: 20 mins             Baking time: 25 mins             Total time: 45 mins
Serving: 8 Persons

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup of milk or water

For chocolate ganache:

  • 200 grams of dark chocolate
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream

For decoration:

  • 1/2 cup of roughly chopped hazelnuts
  • 3 Strawberries
  • Rose leaves or mint leaves

Instructions

  1.  Preheat oven at 170°c – 360°F.
  2.  Butter a 22 CM (8 inch) cake pan.
  3. In a large bowl sift flour, baking powder and cacao powder.
  4. In a bowl mixer add eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt, Whisk in a medium speed until light in color.
  5. Reduce the speed to slow, to the eggs mixture add vegetable oil, milk  and gradually add the dry ingredients.
  6. When all well incorporate, give the cake mixture a quick mix and pour it in the prepared cake pan.
  7. Bake in preheated oven 170°c for 30 minutes.
  8. When out of oven place cake on a wire rack to cool and remove the parchment paper.
  9. For prepare chocolate ganache: Cut the chocolate into small pieces, place it in a medium bowl.
  10. Bring the cream to simmer, pour the cream on chocolate, soak one minute before stir.
  11. Stir choocolate with cream until you have a smooth chocolate ganache.
  12. Decorate your cake with chocolate ganache, sprinkle hazelnut on the edges.
  13. Decorate with strawberries flowers or as you wish.
