How to make your own Chicken Fajita spice mix?
I’ve made my own fajita spice mix instead of buying ready fajita spice mix, and it is so easy to make just mix the following spices together and you’ll have a homemade fajita spice mix, you’ll need for Fajita spice the following spices:
- A teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Notes
- The chicken will Extracts his water after 1 minute of cooking, just get rid of extra water and continue cooking until tender and done.
- I prefer to cook the chicken in a medium steaks size to keep the tender and juicy inside chicken.
- If you have anytype of allergic of one of the spices, just make your own spice and remove the one make allergic.
- Use any type of bell pepper by hand red, green or yellow, its ok not having the 3 colors of bell pepper; it’s just to give colorful color for your fajita.
- Use any kind of vegetable oil to cook your fajita.
Best Chicken Fajita (Mexican Fajita) Recipe
Ingredients
- 500g Chicken breast
- 1 and 1/2 cups of bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 Tablespoon of Fajita spice mix
- Salt as desired
- 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For serving:
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 Tortilla bread
- Cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Wash chicken with lemon juice and water, cut chicken into medium size steaks. Season with salt and fajita spice.
- Cut onion and bell pepper into slices.
- In a hot skillet, add vegetable oil and place chicken.
- Cook on each side for 1 minute, continue cooking on medium high heat until done and tender.
- Remove chicken, in the same skillet add onion and bell pepper cook for 2 minutes until tender.
- Cut chicken into sliced, add it to onion and bell pepper. Mix together and remove from heat.
- Serve with tortilla bread and sliced avocado.
